Rekkai Movie Review

Director Rathinasiva’s Rekkai is progressing at a steady pace. The movie that features Vijay Sethupathi and Lakshmi Menon in the lead is expected to be wrapped up by mid of July. A racy action entertainer, the film has completed a schedule in Madurai, Kumbakonam and Karaikudi.

Vijay Sethupathi will play the role of a BA LLB student in the movie, who completes his studies and goes to his hometown Kumbakkonam to practice law. The plot of the movie is said to be around his family.

The movie will feature Lakshmi Memon as the female lead. This is the first time the duo will paired up for a film.

Rekka will be bankrolled by Ganesh of Common Man Productions and will have music by D Imman.

Says Lakshmi Menon that she knew right when the story was narrated to her, that she was going to give her nod to the project. She says, ‘The movie is a romcom which has several interesting moments. There is a travel portion in the story, which forms one of the highlights of the plot.
