6 Tips and Tricks for Speeding Up your Android Tablet
Performance
No matter what mobile device you have, either smartphone or
tablet, they will become slower with the passage of time. There are several
reasons for this phenomenon, and if you have slow speed problem with your
Android tablet, the following tips will help to get your Android tablet back
into tip-top shape.
1.Uninstall unused apps
Many apps in your android system can remain idle. These will
clog up the system memory, which in turn affect the speed. So if you have
unused apps, uninstalling them will clear up the memory and improve the speed
of your tablet.
2.Reduce the number of widgets in the home screen
The benefit of using widgets is that they can help us to
quickly find information or do a certain task without having to open an app,
but at the same time they can drain your battery life and slow down your
tablet’s performance.
Reducing the number of widgets will help your tablet run
more smoothly and last longer. You can remove widgets from the home screen by
long-pressing the one you wish to delete and dragging it to the top of the screen.
3.Use normal wallpaper instead of live wallpaper
Just like widgets, live wallpaper will slow down your
device. So if you want to speed up the performance of your Android tablet, use
normal wallpaper and avoid any kind of live wallpaper.
4.Clear app cache files
Cached data can build up over time in your applications and
affect the performance of your device. To avoid this, you can clear up cache
files in the settings menu of each app. However, if you have many apps, that
will take time to clean your app cache manually.
In this case, you can use app cache cleaner to automate the
process. Some of the most popular ones include App Cache Cleaner and Clean
Master, both of which are available for free in Google Play Store.
5.Disable animations
Disabling animations will greatly boost the speed of your
tablet. To do that, go to Settings > Developer options and scroll down to
Drawing options. Individually turn off the Window animation scale, Transition
animation scale and Animation duration scale. This will disable animations on
your device so when you open folders or launch apps, they will load immediately
rather than animate.
6.Root your device
Rooting is another way to speed up your android tablet.
Rooting means gaining access to new features and even greater performance
boosts. Once rooted, you can overclock your device’s processor, install a
custom ROM, etc. However, it also void your device’s warranty and could cause
irreversible damage to the device.
