Major fire at furniture market in Mumbai, no casualties reported
A major fire was reported in a plastic godown at a furniture
wala market in Jogeshwari (West) , Mumbai, on Friday around 1pm.
Fire brigade officials said they got a call around 1pm and
have sent 12 fire engines and five fire tankers to the spot. Officials were
trying to bring the fire under control. The exact cause of fire is till
unclear.
Mumbai police said that around 2pm no casualty was reported
in the fire. “Fire tenders are on the job and more have been called for. Police
officers and policemen are at the spot,” said a police officer.
Students of HMW English High School in Jogeshwari, which is
next to the godown, have been evacuated
