How to migrate your data from one Android device to another

In this time where we see a new phone or a tablet everyday it makes people to switch more often. Though switching to a newer device is a lot easier but transferring all your data to new device is really time consuming. Even if you are not switching to a newer device but you want to transfer data from one to another that’s also a little bit messed up. I know we do have NFC, cloud backups but these don’t work up in every condition.
There are many options such as copying your data to memory card then inserting that in your newer device but if your other phone doesn’t have a slot for the same, then? Well, need not to worry we do have a solution for that. There comes an app named My Backup Pro.

Downloads:
You will need to download this application from My Play Store so that you could transfer you data with ease. This application does come for a price and the amount of work it does I feel it is really worth every penny.

How does it work?
All your android running device need to have is Wi-Fi in it. My backup Pro enables you to transfer all of your data selected in just matter of seconds.

Various options:
Though My Backup Pro comes with an option to back up your data on a cloud storage but we are not going to use that as there are many other more reliable applications available and that too on cross platforms. In this guide we will be using migrate option as shown in picture below.

Transferring the data:
Suppose you want to transfer data to your device i.e. this is your receiving phone so we will be discussing in that respective. On clicking Migrate option you will see two option as this is receiving phone so click on that option. Then your device will start searching for sending device. Make sure that you have installed My Backup Pro in other phone too.

Now head to the device from which you want to send the data. In My Backup Pro click on Migrate and select Send from this device option. After you will see a pop up which states Migrate: Data or Applications & Media. If you happen to choose data then you will see a long list which includes: contacts, call logs, bookmarks, SMS, MMS, settings, alarms, dictionary and more. Other option will include your apps, music, photos and videos.
Select the data which you want to transfer and let the transfer complete after that you will see a pop up message which asks you to restart the device do that if you want to, it’s not a mandatory step anyway. And it’s done.
